A new gambling operation, the Bella Union, led by Cy Tolliver, Madame Joanie Stubbs, and Eddie Sawyer, threatens Swearengen's power. Hickok bets valuable items in a poker game against McCall while Bullock and Sol make a deal with Swearengen for a lot. Garret intimidates Swearengen before investigating his gold claim.
